The Missing Moed

I taught this past Shabbat at our first community Shabbat meeting in Central Arkansas. We plan on having these once a month. If are in the Central Arkansas area (or want to travel!) be sure to find out when our meetings are.

This is sort of repeat material, but a little different approach. If you haven’t discovered Hashem’s missing moed…well, your missing out!

  1. Darren-

I found this the other day,Psalm 119:164. Do you think it meant that David prayed seven times a day? I thought about this verse when I read what you wrote about how prayer should be 95% praise and 5% petition.

    Shalom,
    Jeff

  2. Jeff – I’m sure David prayed seven times each day. I personally don’t think he did the “whole megillah,” though. Outside of Shacharit, Mincha and Ma’ariv, it was probably just stopping points in his day where he acknowledged his Creator and praised His goodness and sovereignty in his life. That’s a great example for us, isn’t it? He’s worthy, isn’t He? Yes He is! Amen. Selah.
